Belgium: BTB celebrated International Women’s Day and marked the dismissal of Sister Jimena Lopez by LAN Ecuador for being a trade unionist.

Ecuador: Global unions went to Ecuador to support the Jimena Lopez campaign.
Egypt: General Egyptian Flight Attendant Union – H.E Mr Hossam EL Din Kamal Minister of Civil and Mrs Hanaa Sabry, director of the network of Egyptian women working in transport, signed a protocol which protects women’s rights.
EGSU marked international women’s day by organising a seminar on the importance of women and their involvement in unions.
General Egyptian Flight Attendant Union – highlighted International Women’s Day and the development of collaborative action among Trade Unions Equality.
India: AIRF affiliates organised symposiums, workshops, seminars, meetings in support of International Women’s Day and stand in solidarity with Jimena Lopez.
AIRF – NRMU Women’s Committee organised a programme attended by 400 hundred women employees belonging to different sections and units, where International Women’s Day was celebrated.

Northern Railway celebrated International Women’s Day.
The South Central Railway Employees’ Sangh (SCRES) an affiliate of National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD).
Transport & Dock Workers’ Union, Mumbai, informed participants about ITF Labour Start Campaign and raised awareness of LATAM’s anti union action regarding the dismissal of Sis. Jimena Lopez. They asked all ITF/HMS Mumbai affiliated trade unions to make an appeal to the Government to support an ILO Convention on gender based violence.
MSTKS – Road Transport and the Police Department jointly arranged a one day workshop on sexual harassment for road transport women workers of Nanded Division. This workshop focused on new sexual harassment and raised awareness of the Jimena Lopez Campaign.
Indonesia: SPKA – organised an event for women under the theme Empowering Women – Empowering Humanity, where International Women’s Day was celebrated.
Iraq: General Union of Transport & Telecommunication – FWUCI. The union held a ceremony and invited other unions and NGO’s in Iraq to raise awareness of women’s issue and her role in society.
Liberia: IMRTUL – women celebrated International Women’s Day with a parade and indoor programme. This ran along side the Liberia Labour Congress (LLC), which is the National Centre for Trade Union Movement in Liberia.
Mongolia: The Women’s Committee of the Federation of Mongolian Railway Workers’ Trade Union organised training for women railway workers.
Morocco: UMT brought together trade unions and women’s non-governmental organisations and organised a march aimed to preserve the achievements of women workers and women in general and implement provisions of the Moroccan Constitution that provides equality for men/women.
Nepal: ITWAN organised a seminar and training sessions to mark International Women’s Day.
Russia: ROSPROFZHEL a meeting was held for International Women’s Day and discussions took place around the Jimena Lopez campaign. Women received legal advice on such issues as labor code, labor contracts guaranteeing their rights and the companies’ commitments to workers and helping to raise women’s visibility and participation in the union movement.
Thailand: ITF-THAI – Union members representing various groups came together to mark International Women’s Day.
Turkey: National Port and Land Stevedores Union of Turkey supports International Women’s Day.
Tümtis – held a rally in Istanbul for International Women’s Day.
Tunisia: Fédération Nationale des Chemins de Fer Tunisiens – Will be arranging a roundtable meeting for IWD and to raise awareness for violence against women. Also preparing a petition to support workers in Qatar airways and send solidarity to Jimena Lopez.
UK: Nautilus International are holding two lunches in their Wallasey office and London office which will be linked by video conference to celebrate IWD.

Embassy of Argentina held a lunch with the women heads of mission.
Ukraine: (VPMU) Coordinating Council of Trade Unions had a meeting, which unanimously adopted a resolution in support of Jimena Lopez.
